What do the wheel and microchips have in common? If you said history-altering advances in technology, you’d be right. If you said “things AMOCA needs” you’d be right too!
AMOCA is currently looking for donations of new, gently used, or in need of refurbishing Potter’s Wheels and Computers. Potter’s Wheels are welcome in all repairable conditions. We would LOVE if it’s a variable speed electric wheel, but please contact us about any wheel possibilities. Having more potter’s wheels will enable us to offer more educational opportunities and classes to the public. Email Heidi about wheel donations. Computers made after 2002 are welcome in all repairable conditions. If you had something that crashed your system, we can wipe it and start from scratch or use it for parts to repair other donated computers. If you have simply upgraded your system and no longer are using it, we can wipe all your personal data and information to make it fresh and usable. Additional computers will increase the number of volunteers and interns we can accommodate and help us with the process of cataloguing our library and collection as well as with general operations. Email Susan about computer donations. If you would like to make a cash contribution to help with the purchase or repair of wheels or computers, we would appreciate donations of any kind. You can contact the front desk for more information about making a monetary donation. |
