AMOCA's Permanent Collection
As part of it's mission, AMOCA preserves and collects significant ceramic achievements of the world's cultures from ancient times to the present. Our permanent collection, which consists of over 3,000 pieces, is a growing representation of the impact of ceramics on the development of human cultures. Much of our permanent collection has been photographed and is available for view on .
As we relocate our permanent collection to our new location, only the pieces from our collection that are part of our current exhibit are available for viewing. Once renovations are done, we look forward to having a rotating display of our permanent collection on display to the public in our Hall B. At this time we do not offer tours of our storage facilities to the public. To view our permanent collection, please choose a section below to see that part of our flickr photostream.

The American Museum of Ceramic Art does not provide appraisals or authentications. We also do not have the staff to help you identify or research your unknown ceramics. Books to help you with this are available in our Gift Shop. For personal assistance, we urge you to contact the Appraisers Association of America at www.appraisersassoc.org. You can also find general information and web links for appraisals on the web site of the Archives of American Art (http://www.aaa.si.edu/) at the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
