Studio Memberships

The Ceramics Studio at AMOCA offers two levels of artist participation - Resident Artists who rent and have their studios here and Members who subscribe on a monthly basis to use the common facilities. Membership at both levels includes the use of the studio and tools, however Resident Artists have access, privacy and display privileges that differentiates them from basic Members. Studio Day Passes:

Unable to come often enough to make a monthly membership worth it? Consider a day-pass! All day passes are valid for one year from date of purchase.

  • Day Pass - $12.00
  • 4 Passes - $48.00
  • 6 Passes - $72.00
  • 10 Passes - $120.00
  • 15 Passes - $180.00
  • 20 Passes - $240.00

Studio Membership Benefits:

  • Use of the Studio - a fully outfitted ceramics facility with a large range of equipment, including 12 wheels, 6 hand-building tables, 3 slab rollers, wedging tables, glazing area, extruders, spray booth, and clay-friendly sinks.
  • Use of ceramics tools, including a full range of bats, drying racks, slump molds, and tile cutters.
  • Free admission to exhibits at AMOCA for inspiration, even if you're not an AMOCA member (although with what you'll save on monthly Studio Fees you'll want to join.)
  • Access to The Ceramics Studio during open studio hours - Tues & Thurs 9-9, Wed, Fri & Sat 9-6. Studio members do not receive keys or security codes. To have access at other times of the day, please consider becoming a Resident Artist.
  • Use of AMOCA's ceramic reference library & photography studio.
  • Access to studio during open hours.

Glazing & Firing:

For Studio Members and Resident Artists, all glazing and firing services are included in the cost of clay purchased through The Ceramics Studio. Clay prices range from $10 - $25 for 25lb of clay. Our Clay Price List is posted on the door to the clay room in the studio.
