Gareth Mason - Friendship Forged in Fire Workshop

Demonstration Workshop & Lecture

Sunday, March 10, 2013 10am - 2pm $65 ($45 for AMOCA members)

The experience of making is by no means a set thing for me. Sometimes, a piece of work can remain unresolved for years! Though I will be unable to deliver a 'finished' work, you are welcome to join me on an interesting part of the journey. I will have a number of components already prepared, which I will assemble, stretch, pinch, puncture and variously manipulate for your delectation. This, the 'plastic' stage, when the clay is malleable and responsive, is demanding and dramatic. Expect the unexpected, in what I hope will be an inclusive, informal and entertaining peek at my ceramics practice.
