Notice Regarding COVID-19 (Corona Virus)

Updated July 1, 2020

Dear AMOCA Community,

In times of stress and uncertainty, museums and studios strive to offer a respite from the challenges of the world. The staff and board continue to monitor the spread of COVID-19 using the best information available, including from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control.

Effective July 1, 2020, certain counties (including LA County) must close all bars, some beach parking, and indoor business operations due to risk of infection.

AMOCA Members and residents of Pomona will have first access to timed admission tickets when we are allowed to reopen.

With social distancing requirements, the Ceramics Studio has shifted its offerings by expanding the number of private and semi-private studio spaces. Until further notice – studio memberships, on-site classes, and workshops have been canceled or postponed. We hope to offer a limited number of digital classes beginning this fall. To reserve a kiln in the Ceramics Studio or purchase supplies (for curbside pick up or local delivery) call 909-622-0464 or email studio@amoca.org.

Like everyone else, we look forward to a return to normalcy, and to welcoming guests back to AMOCA soon. We are grateful for your continued support, especially during this challenging time. If there’s anything we can do for you, please contact us.

Sincerely,

Beth Ann Gerstein, Executive Director
