10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Patrick S. Crabb initiates the first workshop of 2018 with his unusual combination of throwing and hand building techniques. The roots of Crabb’s work evolve from ancient artifacts and historical architectures of the Mayas, Asian bronzes, African carvings, and petroglyphs of the American Southwest…a multi-cultural visual orientation. Colors and patterns are derived from raku, oxidation, low-salt, sandblasting, sugar-sawdust atmospheric firings. Supplementing this exciting day-long workshop will be a PowerPoint lecture and a video presentation.
This is a demonstration workshop.
