A museum is distinguished by a collection of objects that form the core of its exhibitions, education, and research programming – its permanent collection. AMOCA’s permanent collection comprises more than 10,000 objects including functional, sculptural, industrial, and production ceramics from around the world.
The objects highlighted in AMOCA Collects! are a small selection of sculptural objects from our permanent collection. Some artworks have been in our collection for years, such as Cheryl Ann Thomas’ micro-coiled vessel, and other works are recent acquisitions, such as John Toki’s large-scale sculpture.
The following individuals and organizations are acknowledged, with gratitude, for making this exhibition possible.
