Calaveras de Clay – A Family Workshop

AMOCA invites you to a bilingual (English and Spanish) Dia de Los Muertos celebration and hands-on family workshop. AMOCA’s family workshops are for all ages and everyone is welcome!

Te invitamos a AMOCA para celebrar Dia De Los Muertos con nosotros. Talleres para familias en AMOCA son para todas las edades y todas son bienvenidos!

Come learn more about the Dia de Los Muertos holiday stemming from Ancient Aztec customs with our community altar and hands-on clay activity.

Participants are encouraged to bring an offering to add to AMOCA’s altar space. This may be a photograph, flower, drawing, fruit, candy, or another small object that you want to leave in honor of your loved ones. Then we will sculpt our very own calaveras using air-dry clay and decorate them with tempura paint.

Registration ($15 per person) includes admission to the museum; AMOCA is open 11 AM -4 PM on Sunday, November 6.
