Museum Experiences for Educators & Students

Educators and students have a number of ways to experience the ceramic arts, including museum visits, synchronous and asynchronous virtual experiences, and mobile experiences at school sites. We look forward to sharing the joy of ceramic art!

The MudMobile, AMOCA’s mobile museum experience

MudMobile Visits (Bring the Museum to Your School Site)

Launched in fall of 2021, our MudMobile outreach program brings educational arts experiences to local school sites and community events. Led by our teaching artists, students interact with artwork from our education collection and create their own air-dry clay project. We incorporate a related picture book reading for K-2nd grade students, or upon request. Throughout the program, students are engaged in visual thinking strategies and are provided a wonderful opportunity for artistic exploration.

The MudMobile experience is 1.5 hrs total. In addition, we need approximately 30 min for set up and clean up. We provide all supplies for the activities. The site needs to provide tables, chairs, access to water, and an invested adult to oversee activities

Fees for our visit:

  • $500 per class within a 15 mile radius
  • $750 per 2 classes at same location within a 15 mile radius
  • $100-$200 surcharge for locations within a 16-30 mile radius

Please use the booking form below to reserve your visit. After booking, you will be contacted to confirm details and to choose from our Functional or Figurative art lessons.
