AMOCA invites High School students interested in art to join our Teen Council Program!
Join fellow teens for weekly, in-person classes to dive into the world of clay and develop an array of skills in pottery and sculpture in AMOCA’s studio. With an emphasis in both handbuilding and wheel throwing techniques, this program will provide students with the opportunity to explore behind the scenes of AMOCA, take field trips to other art museums, develop professional skills, and more. Along the way, Teen Council members gain experience in planning museum events and their own Teen Takeover exhibition to showcase their artwork!
Teen Council applications for the 2025-2026 school year are now open. Applications will be accepted through Sunday, August 24, 2025 and teens will be notified of their status on August 31.
- To apply, you must be in grades 9-12 for the 2025-2026 school year.
- Teen Council will be held in person starting Tuesday, September 2, 2025 to May 2025. Meetings will be held on Tuesdays from 4:00-6:30pm, with periodical field trips and development workshops.
