Artist Talk with Grayson Fair, Artist in Residence

Tuesday, July 20, 2021 • 12 PM (PST) • Virtual

Join us for a virtual artist talk with Artist in Residence Grayson Fair. Fair has been an Artist in Residence at AMOCA since the fall of 2020. He attended the University of North Texas and received his Bachelors of Fine Arts in 2016. He studied sculpture, drawing, fibers, and majored in ceramics. In 2018 he spent a year as an Artist in Residence at the Taos Clay Studio in Taos, New Mexico. In the Fall of 2019 he moved to Arizona for a year long residency at the Reitz Ranch. His introduction to ceramics was through functional pottery, but now his focus is nonobjective, action-based sculpture. Most of his work is wood-fired, a process of firing a kiln exclusively with wood.
