Intermediate Wheel Throwing – Spring, 2022

Join studio artist Mark Muscarello for an intermediate wheel throwing course (Spring, 2022). Designed for students who are comfortable throwing, trimming and glazing work independently, this class works on consistency in throwing and also using the wheel to create larger and more complex bodies of work.
Classes meet once a week for 2.5 hours in the AMOCA Ceramics Studio for six weeks (15 hours of total instruction), and are limited in size to ten students.
Refunds are not allowed after the course begins. Refunds requested during the week prior to the start of the class will be honored at 50%. Refunds requested prior to this will be honored minus Eventbrite fees. If you would like to request a refund, email studio@amoca.org.
Every student is required to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination on the first day of class. If a student cannot provide proof of vaccination, the student will be unable to continue with the class. In these cases, refunds will not be allowed. Thank you in advance for your understanding!

Meet Your Instructor: Mark Muscarello
Mark Muscarello first fell in love with clay during high school, where his art teacher was a influenced and nurtured his passion and skill for throwing and sculpting. His studio practice is influenced by Mark di Suvero, Anthony Caro, David Smith, Joseph Campbell, Val Cushing and Wayne Higby. Muscarello received his BFA in Ceramics from Alfred University in 1979, and has maintained a studio practice in the AMOCA Ceramics Studio for several years.
