Family Day: Make Your Mark

Bring the whole family to AMOCA for an inspiring day of hands-on art activities, gallery exploration, and interactive experiences designed for all ages.

Join us for Family Day at the Museum in celebration of the artists that make up AMOCA and to make your mark, featuring activities inspired by the exhibitions AIR 2026: Compulsion and The Store.

AMOCA’s Family Day makes ceramic art accessible, playful, and meaningful — giving kids and grown-ups the chance to create together, discover new artists, and spark big imaginations.

• Make your own “dessert” using air-dry clay
• Learn to screenprint and revamp your wardrobe with original designs by AMOCA artists
• Hands-on photo archiving workshop for creative expression.
• Tours of our private studio and watch clay demonstrations throughout the day
• Art making stations for all ages to enjoy the fun
• and More!

AMOCA’s latest exhibitions feature the work of current and previous artists in residence. Our artist in residence program, launched in 2012, provides artists with the space and resources to fully expand their ceramic practice. In both Compulsion and The Store, ceramics are used as a way to understand the past and craft a future in response to the world around us.

Family Day participation is free for our neighbors living in the City of Pomona with proof of residency. For other guests, tickets are $5 per person, or $15 for a group of 4. Choose the number of tickets that’s right for you and your group! When you register, purchase tickets individually, and/or as a bundle of four. Tickets may be purchased at time of arrival as space allows, but pre-registration is highly encouraged.

Things to know:

• AMOCA’s family workshops are for all ages and everyone is welcome! Both adults and children will be given supplies to participate in the art projects.
• Children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
• Registration includes the entire Family Day experience – admission, gallery tours, and clay class instruction and materials.
• Many activities will take place outdoors; this event is subject to cancellation if weather conditions are not ideal.

Family Day tickets are free for Pomona residents; email education@amoca.org to request to the Pomona Resident registration code.

Please arrive 10 minutes early for a fun and relaxed check-in process. Late admission is not guaranteed.
