Black FriGlaze! – A Family Workshop

Join AMOCA this Black Friday for a family-friendly glaze workshop, painting and decorating pottery on your choice of prepared bisqued bowls, cups, or plates. Participants will learn different glazing techniques for high-fired ceramics like dipping, waxing, and layering colors. Our instructors will show you how to get lovely colors and teach creative techniques for customizing your bowl, cup, or plate. We’ll then dip your piece in clear glaze and kiln fire so your personalized bowl, cup, or plate will be food and drink safe. Projects will be ready for pick up 1–2 weeks after the class.

AMOCA’s family workshops are for all ages and everyone is welcome! Both adults and children will be given supplies to participate in the art project.

Your ticket includes admission to the museum on the day of the event; AMOCA is open 11 AM -4 PM on Friday, November 27.

• We may get dirty! We suggest wearing clothes that can handle a mess. If you have one, it can be useful to bring a hand towel or apron to wipe your hands.
• Price is per person, so please be sure your order includes tickets for everyone.
• Your ticket includes 1-2 bisque pieces (depending on ticket selected). As supplies allow, additional bisque pieces may be purchased in person the day of the workshop for $20. Limit two bisque pieces per person to decorate.
